The Clarke’s flagship fundraiser, our annual Victorian Tea Party, is approaching!
Because last year’s indoor autumnal theme was so popular, we’re once again holding it at the Eureka Woman’s Club at 1531 J street—a lovely venue suited to the elegance of a Victorian afternoon tea. Doors will open at 1pm on Sunday, September 20th, with tea service starting at 1:30—the event ends at 4pm. Catered by the Cassaro’sCatering team, the tea will feature classic tea sandwiches, scones, cakes, and lots of tasty teas. In addition, there will be mimosas and champagne cocktails/mocktails. Each guest will receive one free drink, with additional drinks available for purchase. |
 Cecile's Altar
We’ll be revisiting the Victorians’ notorious fascination with the supernatural and divination: our three tarot readers will be back to give complimentary readings for those who want a peek into their future! There will also be pop-up mini exhibits and a special altar celebrating our founder, Cecile Clarke.
There will be a silent auction with a bountiful selection of fun items to bid on, as well as a number of “buy it now” items for those who prefer to skip the thrill of the chase! As always, guests are encouraged to dress up for the occasion in whatever catches their fancy, be it Victorian, Edwardian, or anything else festive.

Olivia Gambino & last year's costume contest winner, Caroline Hyung
We’re holding costume and fancy hat contests, judged by 2024’s Rutabaga Queen and beloved local celebrity Olivia Gambino. There will be prizes! Everything will take place to the delightful backdrop of live harp music by Lonni Magellan.
All proceeds will go to benefit the Clarke Historical Museum. We hope to see you there!
