Challenge Coins

Dennis McKinnon (Yurok), descendant of Dorothy McKinnon, Nettie McKinnon, Nellie Cooper and Homer Cooper, will be hosting a scavenger hunt around his exhibit Dorothy McKinnon: Pine Needle Baskets. 

Complete the scavenger hunt and win a Challenge Coin designed by Dennis! These wooden handmade Challenge Coin keepsakes will be engraved with the participant's name on the spot!

Draw Basket Designs with Us

In Clarke Plaza we will draw basket designs with sidewalk chalk! We encourage the community to join us in decorating the Plaza with traditional patterns!

Spot the Squirrels!

In addition to the Challenge Coins Hunt, we have designed a Squirrel Scavenger Hunt inside the Museum. Throughout the Museum we have hidden a variety of squirrels and guests are encouraged to explore the exhibits and search for our secret squirrels. There will be prizes for finding over 12 squirrels!
