Step Into the Shadows of Humboldt's Haunted History This Halloween

The Haunted Rail Tour: A Journey Through Humboldt’s Spooky Past

In collaboration with the North Coast Repertory Theatre, the Timber Heritage Association, and the Clarke Historical Museum, the historic 130-year-old Roundhouse in Samoa transforms into an immersive stage for eerie encounters. Wander through rickety railcars and forgotten corners of the mill, and prepare to confront the supernatural legends that have haunted this land for generations.

From the ghostly tales of Samoa Island to pulse-quickening run-ins with the legendary Bigfoot, each twist and turn will leave you breathless. Interactive exhibits, haunting performances, and chilling surprises are in store for those brave enough to venture into the darkness.

More Than Just a Haunted House

The Haunted Rail Tour isn’t your average Halloween attraction. This volunteer-run event preserves Humboldt County's timber, railroad, and maritime heritage while offering a spine-tingling experience. Proceeds from ticket sales directly support the non-profit partners, helping to ensure these haunting stories live on for future generations.

A Community Success Story – $60,000 Raised for Local Non-Profits

In the fall of 2023, three Humboldt County non-profit organizations – the North Coast Repertory Theatre, the Timber Heritage Association, and the Clarke Historical Museum – united to create this unforgettable month-long event. Thanks to the efforts of community volunteers, including Cal Poly Humboldt and College of the Redwoods College Corps Fellows, the Haunted Rail Tour raised an impressive $60,000. Each organization received $20,000 to continue their vital work, a testament to the power of collaboration and community spirit.
