Help Support the Clarke-and Win a Handmade Quilt!
Barbara Buesch, museum supporter and mom of the museum Registrar, has donated a handmade quilt to the Clarke Museum to be raffled off as a fundraiser! The quilt, pictured here, fits a twin sized bed and features a forest of trees-and a mythic pedestrian strolling through the forest. The quilt will be on display during the run of our newest exhibit, The Redwoods Provide(d): Stories from Redwood National and State Parks.
Tickets for the raffle are $1 per ticket, 6 tickets for $5 and 24 tickets for $20. Tickets will be sold starting July 7 and the winner will be drawn during December 5th's Arts Alive. Winner does not need to be present to win. |
Proceeds from the raffle will benefit a number of projects, including the ones below.
Nealis Hall Community-Led Exhibit
In past years, we have had collaborative and community led exhibits created and advised by local tribal groups. We are working to bring those exhibits back to the museum's Nealis Hall in a community-led exhibit in the case that currently holds the Becker collection. This money would help us replace the current lighting in the cases and purchase supplies to install the new exhibit.

Lentell Map Restoration Project
The Lentell Map is a staple of the museum-it's one of the most recognizable things that people relate to when they visit the museum and something that locals and visitors alike love to look at. It's also 103 years old and is in need of some restoration work. Help us raise money to bring this famous piece of Humboldt County history back to its former glory!
