Living History Day

April 22, 2016
12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Part of our Admission Free Spring Break Week sponsored by Provident Credit Union, Living History Day is a chance to experience a glimmer of Humboldt County history. Come see a local basket weaving demonstration with Ruthie Maloney. If you have ever wondered what it takes to build a Yurok dugout canoe, come and enjoy a presentation by Shirley Laos and company. Judy DeGraff and Pat Smith will be giving a hand-quilting demonstration. Learn what it was like to be stationed at Fort Humboldt in the mid-19th century with Bill Kohse. There will be a hand-quilting demonstration, with opportunities for hands-on learning. Finally, visit our outreach table and get in touch with local history!
