Native American Cultural Awareness Day event is designed for people of all ages to learn about local Native American culture. We partner with local Native American cultural practitioners to bring an engaging and educational event to the public. Activities in the past have included demonstrations of flint knapping, basket weaving, bow making, traditional storytelling, make-and-take artwork, ceremonial dress walk, Brush Dance, and a traditional style barbecue with elk, salmon, and eel! We also close the street directly in front of the museum for additional activities.
