Redwood Empire Quilters Guild Presentation: Bed Turning
August 15, 2015
1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Redwood Empire Quilt Guild member Ruth Curatolo will be conducting a bed turning
presentation at the museum. Bed turnings are a unique and interesting way to relate the history and provenance of individual quilts, as well as the more general quilting methods and movements. Traditionally, bed turnings were considered a social event which included tea and cookies. Contemporary turnings are considered as events, and are usually presented chronologically or grouped into a specific theme.
