Celebrate our community and food connections. Through learning the stories of farmers, ranchers and fisherman, we develop a deeper relationship with our community and food. Healthy food production and consumption plays a role in fostering healthy communities and developing a sense of place. This project celebrates the hardworking people who help make Humboldt the very special place we have all come to love. Includes 2 segments "Coastal Foods: Sowing the Seeds of Sustainability," and "Going with the Grain."

Coastal Foods explores Humboldt's coastal local food movement. Individuals from United Indian Health Services Potowat Health Village speak to the importance of healthy traditional and other whole foods for Native community members, and more. (approx. 40 mins)

Going with the Grain celebrates the resurgence of the local grain movement including wheat, rye, and quinoa. Features local grain farmers and other local food producers as they turn some of these grains into refined products. (approx. 50 mins)
