Weaving a Legacy

This exhibit showcases a project by Coleen Kelley Marks and the Clarke Historical Museum in 1982. Coleen recorded dozens of hours of interviews they conducted with local basketweavers. Last year, an intern from Cal Poly Humboldt named Wolfgang Robinson worked diligently to digitize the cassette tape recordings and make them more accessible for research and exhibitions. The exhibit includes portraits of the weavers, audio clips from their interviews, display cases of their work, and biographical information about them.
